Grace completed her undergraduate degree at Columbia and joined the lab in June 2022. She is presently completing her MD at Harvard Medical School.

Jack Wang, MD/PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Jack Wang completed his MD/PhD at Stanford and joined the lab in 2017 as part of the NINDS R25/UE5 program for physician-scientists. He is presently a neurocritical care physician and scientist at Stanford University.
Katherine Mun, MD
Clinical Fellow
Katherine Mun completed her vascular neurology residency at UCLA in 2022. While in the lab, she served as the site PI for the DISCOVERY Network study at UCLA and published on the role of inflammation and biomarkers in stroke. She is presently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Buffalo.
Marissa Thirion
Clinical Research Associate
Marissa completed her bachelor's degree at UCLA in 2021 and joined the lab in early 2022. She is presently completing her Master's in Social Work.
Roy McReynolds III, PhD
NSIDP Graduate Student
Roy completed his PhD in Neuroscience from UCLA in 2025 with a focus on the role of astrocyte dynamics in tauopathy and Alzheimer's disease. He is presently a postdoctoral fellow at NINDS.
Tirth Patel, MD/PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Tirth Patel completed his MD/PhD at Washington University in St. Louis in 2020. He completed adult neurology residency and fellowship in neurobehavior at UCLA. While in the lab, he completed postdoctoral research on the role of meningeal lymphatics in tauopathy as part of his NINDS R25/UE5 Fellowship. He is now Assistant Professor of Neurology at UCLA.
Veronica Lubera
Staff Research Associate
Veronica completed her B.S. in Neuroscience at UCLA where she was a Schiebel Scholar. She worked on pathways in oligodendrocytes that promote remyelination after stroke. She is presently completing her MD/PhD at UCI.

Alissa completed her B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Musicology at UCLA in 2026. She is pursuing a career in medicine.

Kiran completed his B.A. in Human Biology and Society with a minor in Philosophy. He joined the lab in January 2022 and is completing his MD at the University of Iowa.
